Festivals of Cedarburg is proud to host its annual festivals held in the streets of historic downtown Cedarburg, WI. Festivals welcome more than 250,000 attendees and visitors annually and over 300 artists/vendors participating in each Strawberry Festival and Wine & Harvest Festival!

FEES
APPLICATION FEES - this is the only application for both 2024 festivals (Strawberry Festival and Wine & Harvest Festival). There will not be another application later in the year!

Fees are due at the time of application and are Non-refundable. Applications will not be processed until jury fee is received.

BOOTH FEES - NOTE: Booths are on Washington Avenue for FINE ARTISTS. Depending on which side of the street you are on they are either stay up overnight OR take down for the night. If it is take down you have to put the booth back up Sunday morning 7am onward, ready by 10am.

*NOTE applications are juried on a first come and first serve basis, spaces may fill up prior to deadline date of March 15th. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible in January.
March 15 - Application deadline for Strawberry Festival and/or dual application for both Strawberry Festival and Wine & Harvest Festival

March 22 - Notification of acceptance or rejection deadline for Strawberry Festival and DUAL applicants for Strawberry Festival and Wine & Harvest Festival. Jury results are final.

ELIGIBILITY
Overview
Festivals of Cedarburg, in partnership with local non-profits, welcomes all artists 18 years of age and older working in a visual art mediums to apply for space on Washington Ave. All work must be the artist’s own original design, concept, and execution. Artists are selected by a jury committee from one of the designated groups (see groups below).
INELIGIBLE ITEMS
No manufactured or mass-produced items are permitted on the ARTIST application. (*exception for applications to the Cultural Center Back Lot). Artists whose work has been made with commercial manufacturing methods will not be accepted as an artist and should apply as a designated VENDOR.
Artists must display the style of work in which they applied and were accepted. If you display work in which you did not apply with, you will be asked to put it away and Festivals of Cedarburg reserves the right not to invite an artist to subsequent festivals.
EXPECTATIONS FOR ARTISTS
Please practice patience and understanding with everyone at this fun art and community festival. During set-up, the days of the event, and take-down, artists are expected to behave respectfully toward all event staff, volunteers, their fellow artists, and festival guests. If any artist is observed to be disrespectful, Festivals of Cedarburg reserves the right not to invite an artist to subsequent events. Every participant in the festivals will be expected to read and sign a Festivals of Cedarburg Code of Conduct in order to participate.
BOOTH INFORMATION

BOOTH SPACES AND SETUP

Single booth spaces are 10’ x 10’. Double booth spaces are 10’ x 20’. Artists are expected to stay within those measurements.

Tents larger than your selected booth are not permitted.

All booth spaces are on blacktop/cement unless otherwise indicated.

All booths must be weighed down with minimum 50lb per side. Artists must supply their own weights. Tent stakes will not work for booths as they are located on cement. NOTE: Sandbag or water weights, not tent pole circular weights as tents blow away.

Electricity is NOT available.

Artists must supply all of their own tent(s), display materials/walls, chairs, tables, etc.

While specific booth spaces cannot be guaranteed, every attempt will be made to honor booth request from previous festival attendees.

No sharing of booth spaces is permitted.

Load-in begins at 7am on Saturday morning. Artists are to unload their vehicles and move vehicles off the festival grounds BEFORE setting up their tent.

Artists must be in their booths and set up by 10am on Saturday and Sunday.

Booth permits are required to be posted and visible at all times

Parking is extremely limited. Street parking is available as well as paid lots surrounding the festival footprint. Artists are not permitted to park on the closed festival grounds.
JURY PROCESS
This is the only application for both 2024 festivals.
Partner Artist Group Indication
Festivals of Cedarburg partners with local art groups in support of their programing. Artists should indicate which group they plan to jury in with (meaning which group will be choosing artists/applicants to be on Washington Avenue as a vendor). All jury fees and booth fees will go to the indicated art group to support their non-profits. Each group has an allotted number of booths they are able to fill. Below are the five groups you can select from:

Application and Jury Process
Images submitted are reviewed and judged by an anonymous jury of art professionals. Selection is made based on originality, execution of design, technique, and craftsmanship, creative use of materials, aesthetic qualities, and booth presentation. Submissions that do not meet eligibility requirements (see Eligibility, above) will not be accepted.
Acceptance
Festivals of Cedarburg and its partner art groups accept up to 165 artists to participate on Washington Avenue in each Strawberry Festival and Wine & Harvest Festival. Acceptance decisions are final, with artists notified on or before March 15 for Strawberry Festival and dual application. Acceptance decisions for Wine & Harvest Festival ONLY will be June 15th.
Participation in previous festivals does not guarantee acceptance in future festivals, and previous booth space locations are not guaranteed.
Up to 50 artists may be waitlisted. We will let you know between March 16 and May 1 if you are accepted from the waitlist.
DIGITAL IMAGES OF ARTWORK
Four (4) digital images that accurately represent the scope of work to be exhibited must be submitted with the artist’s online application form. Artists must also submit one (1) booth image. Booth images are taken into account during the jury process. Accepted artist application images may be used for festival publicity purposes. All artists will be credited if their images are used (artists will be tagged if social media handles are provided in application).
TAX AND INSURANCE INFORMATION
Applicants who are accepted into the festivals are required to provide a completed Wisconsin Temporary Sales form and proof of event insurance with minimum coverage of $300,000. A SSN or FEIN is required of all participating applicants in compliance with the Wisconsin Department of Revenue Temporary Events Program. Artists not conforming to Wisconsin Department of Revenue regulations may not exhibit. Contracts cannot be processed until all required materials (contract, booth fee, tax form, proof of insurance, code of conduct) are received.
We require a minimum of 300K insurance for your booth, you can check your home owner or renters insurance or you can get affordable temporary insurance:
CORRESPONDENCE
Unless special arrangements have been made with Festivals of Cedarburg or partner groups, correspondence (including acceptance) will be sent to the email address provided through the online application system. It is the responsibility of the artist to check their email regularly and to notify Festivals of Cedarburg of changes to email addresses or contact info. Correct mailing address is imperative, as this is how we send the vendor permit for the festival to you.
COMPLIANCE
Images submitted for jurying must be representative of the work exhibited at the festivals. They should represent current work and represent the majority of work exhibited. During the festivals, Festivals of Cedarburg staff or partner group staff have the authority to require that any items deemed not consistent with the submitted material, ineligible (see Eligibility above), or otherwise inappropriate, be put away.
PRINTS AND REPRODUCTIONS
Per federal statute, the Festivals of Cedarburg is not liable for copyright infringement by artists, and it is the legal responsibility of every artist to comply with all applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
SECURITY
Security is not specifically provided overnight. However, the Cedarburg Police Department patrols the festival grounds overnight. For this reason it is imperative that artists display their COMPLETED vendor permit in their booth in case of an overnight emergency. Festivals of Cedarburg and its partner groups are not liable for artists’ work or property.
PETS
Per City of Cedarburg ordinance Sec. 7-14-1 of the Festivals Celebration Permit:
Prohibition of Animals, pets are NOT allowed in the festival grounds or Cedar Creek park for special events. Non-service animals will be asked to leave the event.

REFUND POLICY

ATTENDANCE AND REFUNDS
The accepted artist or artist’s representative must be present both days of the festival and personally manage her or his booth. Once an artist has submitted a contract with payment, booth fee refunds will not be granted for artists who withdraw from the show. The event will be held rain or shine. In case of severe inclement weather, no refunds will be given.
